FREE HIKE - Newhaven Circular - Sunday Post Lunch Hike !

### Meeting Point: Outside Newhaven Town Train Station at 1:30pm.

This is a circular hike with a start and finish at Newhaven Town Train Station and would be approx., 11 to 13 miles distance.

Event Description:

Join us for a scenic hike through the stunning South Downs, walking past Newhaven Fort and offering breathtaking coastal and countryside views. This 11 to 13 miles circular walk is perfect for those looking to explore the natural beauty of East Sussex while enjoying fresh air and great company.

We’ll trek through rolling hills, charming villages, and serene landscapes, taking in panoramic views of the English Channel. Along the way, we’ll stop for a break, so feel free to bring snacks or a packed lunch. This route offers moderate challenges, so make sure to wear sturdy footwear and dress appropriately for the weather.

Difficulty Level: Moderate

This hike includes some steep ascents and uneven terrain.

What to Bring:

• Comfortable walking shoes/boots
• Waterproof jacket (just in case)
• Snacks and water (minimum 1L)
• Packed lunch

Additional Notes:

• Stay Together: Please stay with or behind the walk leader to maintain group pace and cohesion.
• Preparedness for Early Darkness: As winter brings shorter days, carry a reliable flashlight, headlamp, or chest lamp to ensure safety if darkness falls early.
• What to Bring: Good hiking shoes, a packed lunch, water, and a positive spirit. Dress for varying weather conditions, and consider a rain jacket and layered clothing.
