What we’re about
Walk with a Doc is a free program of the San Mateo County Medical Association Community Service Foundation that encourages physical activity and aims to reverse the effects of a sedentary lifestyle. Walk with a Doc provides an opportunity for community members to lace up their tennis shoes and enjoy a walk with local physicians while discussing healthy living and health-related topics along the way. People of all ages and fitness levels are welcome to attend.
Locations throughout San Mateo County, with a special emphasis on the natural trails and open spaces that make the Peninsula such a fantastic place to call home. Walks take place on Saturday mornings, at 10:00 a.m., from April through October excluding holiday weekends.*
The walks last about one hour and commence with a brief talk by the physician on the importance of physical activity. All participants receive complimentary water and a healthy snack.
