Tomorrow is Groundhog Day Lunch
Texas Roadhouse, 5309 US Hwy. 9 North, Howell, nj, US$2.00 Meetup fee.
What do you think? 6 more weeks of winter or is spring right around the corner? What will Punxsutawney Phil have to say?
The roots of the Punxsutawney Groundhog can be traced back to centuries-old European traditions that revolve around predicting the weather based on the behavior of animals during hibernation.
The celebration in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, dates back to the 1800s when German settlers brought their tradition of using a groundhog to predict the length of winter.
Fun Facts about Punxsutawney Phil according to the Punxsutawney Phil Groundhog Inner Circle:
Did you know he is over 130 years old? This is because he drinks a special Elixir of Life every spring which gives him an additional 7 years of life. He lives in PA with his wife Phyliss and has been correct about 40% of the time. Ha Ha.
Anyway, let's get together and celebrate winter or spring.

Hibachi at Oyako Tso's in Freehold
Oyako Tso's Sushi and Hibachi Steakhouse, 6 W Main St, Freehold, NJ, US$2:00 Meetup fee payable to host at event
Please note that Freehold Borough has cancelled paid parking in all the lots on Sundays, so we can park for free. There is still paid parking on the streets that were paid parking previously.
Returning to this Japanese place right in downtown Freehold. This has become our favorite hibachi place and super reasonable for Sunday and dinners. They advertise 30% off and comparing prices, that seems to be correct. And Freehold should be closer for many of our members. We were impressed with the show and the food.
And this way we get to go on a Sunday.
Here is their 30% off menu: Oyako Tso's - Freehold Twp | All Menu Items | 30% Off Hibachi Dinner (Pick Up & Dine In Only)
It seems the normal choices like chicken, salmon, steak, shrimp, vegetarian will be between $15 and $20ish unless you want to treat yourself to filet mignon or lobster which will be higher. Of course, drinks other than water are extra.
Complete Dinner Includes: Soup, Salad, 2 pcs Shrimp, Vegetable, Fried Rice & Noodles plus your meat choice.
And yes, this is with the chef putting on his show at the hibachi table.
They accept separate checks,
I hope you will join me. Please keep your RSVP's current as I will be making a reservation. Seems around 16 fit around a hibachi table.3 attendees
