Friday Drinks Club Goes to Aikmans Merivale

Happy New Year, Friday Drinks crew. Hope 2026 is shaping up well for everyone. A few people have been asking about the next catch-up, so rather than waiting until after the holidays, we’ve locked in a golden oldie — Aikmans, 154 Aikmans Road, Merivale. It has heaps of parking and usually has a big crowd.
Ah, Merivale. Fun fact: it reportedly has the highest percentage of single women in Christchurch. If anyone knows which suburb claims the title for single men, let me know — happy to do some field research next time.
