Friends Forest Tour #29 - West DuPage Woods #2

Our first hike of 2026 will be the other side of West DuPage woods. This preserve was our 4th hike back in 2023, and I’m thrilled to go back and explore the other side with you all!

This side of the preserve is a hidden gem. I still vividly remember doing a pre walk here and having the realization of the wonderful trails and preserves we have here in DuPage. Several of you have made comments over the years while hiking that you had no idea these places existed right down the street. That was my moment here haha!! 😂

The hike itself is very fun, it’s more off the beaten path, has elevation, and is a real walk through the woods.

Please note the parking lot location, this hike will be on the east side of the preserve, with the parking lot off Garys Mill Rd.
