Let's gather at the covered fire circle in Gene Coulon Park and celebrate with a small bonfire the returning of the light the winter solstice brings! I will provide the Yule firewood, a hot beverage and treats and also welcome others bringing along some of their own and a thermal cup. [leftover holiday cookies?]

The park also has its own annual holidays light display (until Jan. 4) so please plan on taking a short walk to see the sparkling lights along the way after warming yourself near the fire and joining in the festivities. This firepit area is completely covered, with its own cozy seating and is one of the best anywhere!

This event is cross-posted with another group of people over 60. Since not many are able to go from that group I'm opening it up to Friends & Fun as well. This is a public park and reservations aren't possible so members of the community visiting the park might possibly drop by, as well. Ivar's and Kidd Valley are close and still open if you'd like to eat before this.

I look forward to celebrating with all of you who have the adventurous spirit to join in! - Please note that Coulon Park has a no dogs policy.
