Bayside Waterfront Walk with Optional Dinner/Drink

Please join us and enjoy a relaxed walk with sea views, sea breezes overlooking beautiful Moreton Bay and a walk through the locally popular Mangrove Boardwalk.

The Walk: We will meet for the walk at the Northern end of the Wynnum Wading Pool just at the entrance to start of the pier.

We will follow the bikeway/path north towards Wynnum North. We pass through Wynnum Creek, Elanora Park and then walk on the Mangrove Boardwalk which is our turnaround point. The path is well paved, suitable for all levels of walkers, even those in wheelchairs.

The walk is approximately, 8km round trip, all flat. Dogs on lead welcome. We walk a fairly steady pace but will have various drink or catch up points where people can catch up if slower.

Car Parking or Transport: There is plenty of parking around Wynnum foreshore park near the Wading Pool but can be busy so arrive early. Those that don't drive can get the Cleveland Train to Wynnum Central Station and walk down.

Dinner/Drink: Optional Dinner/Drink will be at Pelican's Nest Cafe right next to where we started the walk. This venue is not licensed or BYO. Depending on attendee numbers a table will be reserved.
