Bayside Walk with Optional Coffee/Tea and Brunch

Details
Please join us for a relaxed walk, commencing on the Lota waterfront and making our way to inland and through the Lota Wetlands.
The Walk: We will start the walk at Lota Camping Reserve (Googlemaps name), The Esplanade, Lota. We will meet under the big gum tree opposite 3 Musketeer’s Cafe. From here we will take the Moreton Bay Cycleway (MBC) approximately 1.5 km south and then rejoin the pathway in the Lota Railway reserve before the path continues and then crosses Lota Creek over to Ransome. From here we will do the Lota Creek Wetlands loop and then return the same route back to the starting point. The path is well paved, suitable for all levels of walkers, even those in wheelchairs.
Note, the tide has been checked and we will walk at Low Tide, meaning the creek crossing will be accessible.
The walk is approximately, 8km round trip, mostly flat. Dogs on lead welcome. We walk a fairly steady pace but will have various drink or catch up points where people can catch up if slower.
Car Parking / Transport: There is lots of parking along the parklands and on the road. The walk is about 900 m from Lota Train Station, on the Cleveland Line for those that wish to catch the train.
Brunch and Coffee/Tea: Optional Brunch and coffee/tea will be at 3 Musketeer’s Cafe, Lota (where walk starts). Depending on attendee numbers a table will be reserved.
