An 'in person' social group for those around or over 45 on Brisbane Northside to socialize safely, meet new people, form friendships and enjoy life.
In today's fake news society a traditional sense of supportive community has vanished, after career, life and family needs decline, many feel lost, insecure, weary and disconnected. But you don't need to stay that way, a regular social outing increases happiness levels, and we often invite friends from other groups to our events, so you meet people from outside this group as well to share ideas, conversations and social opportunities.
If you're out of practice socializing, don't stress, we've all been there, our members are friendly and welcoming, attend 3 events and you'll soon see familiar faces. Friends are nice people you don't know until you meet them 'in person'.
The sooner you attend an event, the sooner you're social life will change. Don't just think about it - Do it!
Some things we do: movies, lunch, dinner, outings, music, books, art, walks, board games, cards, mini golf, pickle ball, dancing, kayaking, etc. etc. If a member hears of something enjoyable, we'll add it to our events list for others to share.
We are volunteers so if things don't go to plan occasionally - that's life - enjoy it!

PS: Your responses to membership questions are only viewable by Group & Event Organizers, not the general public.
RULES: Members join events at own risk, organizer holds no liability personal or monetary if a price changes. Organizers will remove members at their discretion e.g.:
- Using mobiles at events for other than photographs.
- No headshot image taken within last 10 years so we can recognize you.
- Not updating RSVP from 'going' to 'not going' at least 48 hours before the event
- Repeated RSVP'ing then cancelling (as both the above actions prevent others getting a place in time to plan their attendance.)
- Non-participation. Attending less than 6 events per year
- Live outside the catchment area.
- Predatory or undesirable behavior. if you form a bond with someone good luck to you, but This is not a dating, swingers, or hookup site.
