🇮🇳Chai & Chat Real Indian Chai☕🌿インド人が淹れる本格チャイアフターヌーンティーイベント 411th sessions

“This is why it all started…”

“Honestly, it’s hard to find real chai in Japan.”
That single comment from an Indian friend became the starting point of this event.

In Japan, many people are familiar with chai tea lattes from cafés like Starbucks.
But according to our Indian friend,
“That’s more like a sweet cinnamon tea. It’s not quite real chai.”

Then, with a big smile, he added:

“Once you taste real chai, you probably won’t be able to go back to Starbucks anymore（笑）”

Everyone laughed, and that moment sparked an idea.

“Then let’s drink real chai together.”
“And if we’re doing that, let’s create a space where people can truly connect.”

That’s how this event was born.

The main focus of this event is not chai itself.
It’s the connections between people that naturally grow through chai.

While holding a cup of authentic masala chai carefully brewed on the spot by Indian members,
you’ll enjoy relaxed conversations in both English and Japanese,
sharing everyday stories and cultural differences in a friendly atmosphere.

The chai is made with traditional spices such as ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, and cloves.
It warms the body, supports digestion, and gently relaxes the mind —
a cup filled with the wisdom of Indian daily life.

We use small tables of 3–6 people,
so even those who are not confident in English or Japanese can join comfortably.

We also prepare handmade tea snacks to accompany the chai (limited quantity).

「日本では“本物のチャイ”がなかなか飲めないんだよね」
そんな一言がこのイベント誕生のきっかけでした。

スタバで注文できるチャイティーラテは、日本ではおなじみですが、
インド人いわく「あれは甘いシナモンティー。チャイとはちょっと違うよ」とのこと。
そして笑いながら、こんなことを言ってくれました。

「本物のチャイを飲んだら、もうスタバでは飲めなくなるよ（笑）」

その言葉にみんなで大笑いしながら、
「じゃあ、本物のチャイを一緒に飲める場を作ろう」
「せっかくなら、人と人がつながる時間にしよう」
そんな流れで、このイベントが誕生しました。

このイベントの主役は、“チャイ”そのものではありません。
チャイをきっかけに生まれる、人と人とのつながりです。

インド人メンバーがその場で丁寧に淹れる本格マサラチャイを片手に、
英語と日本語を交えながら、文化の違いや日常の話を気軽に楽しむ時間をお届けします。

チャイには、ジンジャー、カルダモン、シナモン、クローブなどの伝統スパイスを使用。
体を温め、消化を助け、心までゆるめてくれる、インドの暮らしの知恵が詰まった一杯です。

3〜6人の少人数テーブル制なので、
英語や日本語に自信がない方でも、安心してご参加いただけます。

さらに、チャイにそっと寄り添う手作りのお茶菓子もご用意しています（数量限定）。
