Welcome to Google Developers Melbourne March Meetup. This month we have design, cool AI and Android O!

Lightning talk - What's new in Android O - Dylan Graham

1st talk - An Introduction to Google Design Sprints - Peter Collins

2nd talk - Cool AI stuff from Japan! - Luke Sleeman

Whats new in Android O

Android O - the next version of Android has just had its first preview release. Dylan Graham will give us a quick overview of what's new and which features developers should keep their eyes on!

An Introduction to Google Design Sprints

Come along and learn all about Google design sprints. We'll cover an overview of what they are and how they can be used to rapidly identify great product ideas by putting end-users at the heart of the process. I'll give you hints and tips on how to run them, what they are and aren't used for and how as developers you can play a critical part in this early part of product inception.

Cool AI stuff from Japan!

Luke recently attended a ML experts meeting in Singapore. There were quite a few attendees from Japan, who had some really cool stuff to present. We will get a quick rundown of some of the fun projects they have been working on: Cucumber recognition, A chicken nugget sorting robot, AI generated pop stars, recognising car features for an auction website, and car packing space recognition by drone! This will be a pretty informal presentation where we will just run through a number of youtube videos explaining what they are about.

Doors open for drinks at 6pm, and talks will kickoff at 6:30pm. There'll also be pizza, and when the talks finish up (around 7:30pm) there'll be more time for drinks and networking. Look forward to seeing you then!
