Speakers:

Teresa Qin, Google Maps Solutions Engineer - Google Maps - Creating immersive map experiences with 3D tiles, Aerial View, and Geospatial Creator.
I’m a solution engineer from Google Maps Platform team. I have been working with Google for 7.5 years, in multiple roles across 3 Google offices in 3 countries. I moved to Melbourne at the end of 2021. As a solution engineer, I work with maps product team and developers to come up with customized solutions and new products to solve real-world problems

David Rawson - Codegen with KSP - a farewell to stubs
Kotlin Symbol Processor (KSP) is a new tool from Google that promises strong improvements over legacy javax.lang.model processors that run with kapt. These are slow because they require generation of Java stubs for your Kotlin code.
Say "farewell" to stubs and the resulting slow builds by using KSP in your Android project. After explaining the need for annotation processors and metaprogramming for handling cross-cutting concerns, we will build and test a toy annotation processor live on screen. This will give you the confidence to attempt more complex KSP codegen in your own Android app.

Sowmiya Selvakumaraswamy - Building Immersive AR Experiences on Android
Explore the art and science of 'Building Immersive AR Experiences on Android.' In this talk, you'll discover the power of ARCore and learn how to craft captivating augmented reality applications for Android. We'll delve into the nuts and bolts of AR development, share best practices, and reveal expert tips to help you create captivating, interactive AR experiences.
