Join GDG Perth this November for a special DevFest evening for an AI-focused event. We'll explore the latest tools, including Gemini and Google AI Studio, to work smarter and build robust, adaptive, and performant web apps that effectively solve a given problem. This is a must-attend for any software engineer or student looking to stay ahead of the curve.

Build Your Own Resume Reviewer with Google AI Studio in minutes
Wouldn’t it be nice if you could get quick, honest feedback on your resume, without waiting for someone else to review it? In this talk, we’ll explore how you can build your very own resume reviewer app using Google AI Studio and Gemini.

You’ll see how easy it is to set up an app that takes your resume and a job description, then gives you tailored feedback to help you stand out. Whether you’re polishing your resume for your desired role or just curious about what AI can do, this session is for you.

We’ll walk through how Google AI Studio works, talk about how it fits into the hiring process, and do a live demo of building the resume reviewer app from scratch, and try a resume with a couple of job descriptions. By the end, you’ll know how to use Gemini APIs to analyze resumes and generate actionable suggestions—fast, fun, and with no coding headaches. You will also deploy the app to Google Cloud Run, allowing you to boast about it to your friends.
