Observatory Hill - 3.5 Miles - Mostly Easy - Dogs on Leash, Welcome

This is a nice, easy loop hike from the Rivanna River Trail adjacent to Fontaine Avenue, across McCormick Road and back.

Parts of the trail can be a little rough. A hiking pole is helpful.

Afterward, join us at Guadalaja, Silk Thai or Pi-Napol, the new pizzeria in the former Fry's Spring Station at Fontaine & Jefferson Park Avenue.

AFTER ENTERING THE RESEARCH PARK ON RAY C HUNT DRIVE, MAKE AN IMMEDIATE LEFT AND PARK NEAR THE ENTRANCE OF BUILDING 560 ON YOUR LEFT. We'll meet in front of the entrance.
