Hike Description: This hike starts from the (permanently closed) Massanutten Visitors Center. The trail descends from the parking lot along the Wildflower Trail until its junction with the Massanutten Ridge Trail where we will turn right and climb up to the ridge to Bird Knob Trail where we will bear right and follow the trail until we come to an open field. We walk along the edge of the open field back into the woods and follow the trail to the spur leading up to Emerald pond. After enjoying Emerald Pond we will retrace the spur back to Bird Knob trail and continue following it to the gravel road where we will turn right until the intersection with Roaring Run Trail. We turn left onto Roaring Run Trail and follow it to Browns Hollow Trail where we will turn left again, following and crossing the stream a couple times before reconnecting with the Wildflower Trail and following it back to our cars.
