(S) PRE-PICNIC HIKE Oconee SP - Hidden Falls and Tamassee Knob

This is a PRE-PICNIC hike for the annual GNHA summer picnic. Sign-up separately for the picnic event. You may sign up for either or both.

Meet at Publix for carpools for 7am departure or at trailhead in Oconee State Park at 8:30. This is the parking area for the Foothills Trail. If you do not have a park pass there is a fee. There is a map on the park’s website. If you are meeting at the trailhead, please say so in the comments.

Hike description: rolling ups and downs. Moderate elevation gain overall but the last half mile for Tamassee Knob is all uphill so that part is tough. Views are spectacular. We will do the harder trail first, then go see the Hidden Falls waterfall. Hike pace is brisk but we don’t race to the top.
