Despeuxrados (VS) Hikes - Laurel Fork Gap to Lake Jocassee 10.3 m, 1450 EG

This week we will start at Laurel Fork Gap, hiking down to Virginia Hawkins Fall on the FHT, continuing on to Laurel Creek Falls and Lake Jocassee.
We will be inspecting the trail and documenting any issues. Feel free to bring your favorite handsaw in case we run into any obstructions.
Lunch by the lake or at the campsite if the trail is rough . Returning by the same route.

*** Parking is limited at the trail head so we'll meet at Laurel Valley parking lot to minimize cars at the top. Also the road to the Gap parking area can be rough. ***

This group meets Wed at University Square Shopping Center. The specific hikes are described 1 to 4 weeks in advance and target hikes which are 10 miles long and climb 2000 ft. We hike at approx. 2.5 MPH, faster or slower depending on terrain.
