(M) — Dean's List: TR Saluda Confluence Recreation Area, Anders Road, Travelers Rest, SC

A relatively new 20 miles of great trails is officially open to bikers and hikers. Thanks to the Upstate Greenways and Trails Alliance! The trails are mostly gently rolling through woods and beside streams. The trail we will hike will end up at the Saluda River. The trail is hardpacked due to the bike usage and mostly shaded so it is a pleasant hike. No organized carpool but you are free to set up with other hikers. It is about 10 min from the usual meeting spot at University Ridge. We will meet at 10am at the Anders Road Entrance (NOT the newly opened Keeler Mill Rd entrance) which is very near Keeler Mill Road and Forestville Baptist Church. After turning on Anders the grassy parking area is unmarked on the right, beside the horse stables entrance. Plenty of parking, no bathrooms. No pets please.
