(VS) Sassafras Mtn 12 mile Hike (GNHA Club + Make-A-Wish Training Hike) 2200EG

This hike will be an approximate 12 mile training hike for Make-A-Wish participants plus a Club hike. Starting at the Laurel Valley Parking area, we will hike up to the top of Sassafras Mountain and continue on the FHT to the Cantrell camp site. We'll then retrace our way back to the parking area after breaking at the top of Sassafras Mtn for lunch.
Meet at Publix at 8:15 to form carpools to leave at 8:30 am
Trailhead at 9:30 am. We will gather and begin the hike shortly after 9:30 am.
RT from Publix is 66 miles
Carpool $5
We'll hike at about 2.5 mph depending on conditions.
