Angela or another volunteer will be there to collect everyone’s canned vegetables prior to hike departure and get your food stuffs to the Chef for our 12:00 lunch.
Please arrive before 8:30 at the carpool site to allow for prompt departure at 8:30. State Park Admission fee is required and a lot of people use the park on New Year’s Day. Please plan to carpool with drivers who have an annual State Park pass. We are carpooling into the park because of capacity limitations with other state park events. This is a condition of our club's use of Shelters 5 and 6 on this date.
We will depart promptly at 8:30.
We will park at Shelter A/B and hike down Mountain Creek trail and around Lake Placid and Park Headquarters, returning and then bypassing Shelter 5 and continue to Sassafrass trail for the loop.
We'll then be ready for the Hobo Stew and GNHA New Years Day festivities.
