(S) Hobo Stew - First Day Hike at Paris Mtn. - 6.5 mi. 1100 ft. EG

Join your fellow hikers for a morning hike followed by lunch starting around 12:00 PM at Shelter 5 at Paris Mountain.
We will form carpools this year at the intersection of State Park and East Mountain Creek Roads.

ARRIVE at this location by 8:00 AM, in order to hand off canned foods and collect into carpools by ASAP!!
The parking attendant will collect everyone’s can vegetables prior to hike departure and get your food to the chef. The start times from the carpooling site are shown below. Please arrive 15 minutes early to get into a carpool. State Park admission fee required; therefore, consider carpooling with drivers having an annual State Park pass. We are carpooling into the park because of capacity limitations with other state park events. This is a condition of our club's use of Shelters 5 and 6 on this date.

HIKE DETAILS: We carpool from outside park at 8:15 AM to reach Shelters A & B in time for 8:30 AM departure. We will take Mountain Creek Trail, to join the "right side" of the Sulpher Springs Trail loop. We ascend this trail to join the Brissy Ridge Trail. We will complete a loop of the Brissy Ridge Trail, and rejoin the Sulphur Springs Trail and descend to "Hobo Stew"! :)
