Our first speaker is Max Collier:

Talk Title: Max out your Json Go Library just in time!

Summary: Max will introduce go-jitjson, a lazy JSON parsing library that lets you slice through heavy JSON without the overhead. He’ll cover core concepts, library methods, and real-world use cases, finishing with demos showing how it can save time and resources in your projects.

Bio: Max Collier is a passionate Go backend engineer with over 5 years building high-scale, cloud-native systems. He’s delivered award-winning solutions in maritime surveillance and loves diving deep into Golang, Kubernetes, and Terraform.

Our second speaker is Miguel Elias Dos Santos, flying in from Sydney especially!

Talk Title: Go Singleflight Melts in Your Code, Not in Your DB

Summary: We'll go through Victoria Metric's blog post (https://victoriametrics.com/blog/go-singleflight/index.html) about Go's Singleflight package and how it can be used to funnel similar concurrent requests down to a single one and reduce load to an external endpoint (like a DB, cache or other APIs).

Bio:
Miguel has worked for almost a decade as a Platform Engineer but never left his Software Engineering side (+5y). Between working as a Staff Platform Engineer and muscling a 4yo hyperactive kid, you can find him presenting talks now and then about how Platform Engineering intersects with Software Engineering.
