Urban rainforest: Fleays, Talle Creek, Burleigh Ridge 5.5km + cafe!!
Details
Meet: at the Fleays Wildlife Park car park at the Tallebudgera Creek end of Loman Lane.
Bring: please bring a $2 donation (or $10 covers all events until March 2027) towards the costs of running the group, sturdy walking shoes, hat and a bottle of water (there are a couple of refill points along the way).
What to expect: This is an approx 5.5km walk on uneven paths. There are steep inclines and stairs both ways so you will need some walking and incline/stair fitness. We walk at a medium to fast pace, but won’t leave anyone behind.
We start on the boardwalk and paths following Tallebudgera Creek through the conservation parks. We cut through back streets then head up ‘heartbreak hill’ at Tabilban St to Burleigh Ridge Park. The suburbs quickly disappear into bushland over the ridge. We journey through Koala Park to loop around and return along Tallebudgera Creek and back to Fleays.
We’ll go to the lovely Fleays Conservation Park Cafe at the end for coffee & post-walk chat :)

If you prefer to pay an annual amount of $10 (PayID or cash on the day), you will enjoy Gold Coast Active & Social events without needing to remember a gold coin until March 2027!! (YOU DO NOT PAY MEETUP - click on the X on any pop up ads offering paid membership. That is to meet up, not this group).
Please be mindfulful to update your attendance as ‘not going’ as soon as possible if you can no longer join us. This is so we can update bookings and not hold up the group waiting for ‘no shows’.
This MeetUp Group is not a registered association or official club. Principally it is a Group with a wide range of activities and events that Event Organisers design to get like-minded people together to complete various activities, rather than on their own, with safety in numbers in mind.
