Day 1 Mon 24 Nov
Three Falls Circuit is one of Tasmania’s 60 Great Short Walks. This 6km circuit takes in not only Russell Falls, but also some of the other natural features of this section of the park. Most do the circuit anticlockwise, starting with the short walk to Russell Falls, then climbing to the beautiful Horseshoe Falls. The track continues through the Tall Trees walk, taking in some magnificent specimens of swamp gums — the world's tallest flowering plant. Next stop on this walk is Lady Barron Falls—a pretty little cascading waterfall which is particularly scenic after rain.

Labillardiere Peninsular Circuit option a.
Not so lazy today.
Labillardiere Peninsular is one of Tasmania’s 60 Great Short Walks. 5.5-6.5 hour circuit, 18km return. Grade 4. This is a delightful, long and varied walk around the perimeter of the picturesque Labillardiere Peninsula on Bruny Island. It features constant coastal and mountain views, stretches of long sandy beach, and quiet sheltered bays. For those with less time / energy you may like to have a look at either coast and retrace your steps, or take the smaller loop which is around 4.5km. Whatever track you choose, this delightful low-level walk gives walkers a good chance of seeing wildlife and colourful wildflowers, including orchids.

The Fluted Cape Walk is a delightful, adventurous circuit walk rewarding you with spectacular coastal views as you climb to the top of one of the highest sea cliffs in Australia. Your walk will take you through dry sclerophyll forest, past tall blue gums, white peppermint and sheoaks. Be on the lookout for endemic birdlife. Don’t forget to look out for the remains of whaling days at Grass Point.

Tasman Island (TI)
Day 5: Fri 28 Nov
A feast for the eyes.
Eaglehawk Neck
The narrow isthmus, known locally as The Neck, is less than 100m wide at one point. Connecting the Tasman Peninsula to the Forestier Peninsula, about 20km north of the Port Arthur Historic Site, it was crucial to the fortress security of the notorious prison settlement.
A sculpture marks the location of the Dog Line barricade, where a line of fierce dogs were chained across The Neck to prevent convicts from escaping Port Arthur. The Neck (not to be confused with The Neck on Bruny Island) is better known these days for its rock stars. Striking geological formations include the geometrically perfect patterns of the Tessellated Pavement, the gaping Tasman Arch, the Blowhole and a deep cleft known as Devils Kitchen.
Stewart's Bay Lodge will be home for the next few nights.

Organ Pipes and Pinnacle is a challenging route contouring for 9 kms around the slopes of Kunanyi / Mount Wellington passing Sphinx Rock with its large sandstone lookout platform. Continuing on you will pass Rock, Lone and then Junction Cabins before climbing uphill towards The Chalet. On the left is Crocodile Rock, another aptly named sandstone feature. From The Chalet the track skirts the base of the spectacular Organ Pipes. A steady downhill gradient then brings you back to The Springs.
Medical emergency: Please carry some first aid with you on every walk. As a minimum it should be a good 100m strong crape bandage. In chemists from $10-12), elastoplasts, medical tape, plus anything you consider an essential. Accidents can a DO happen on our walks, don’t think it won’t be me and don’t expect others to be carrying your emergency supplies if you do have a mishap. A strong bandage to support a badly twisted/sprained ankle will get you home safely or a broken one back in less pain and agony. Remember we are responsible for our own self and that includes emergency procedures.
