Tallebudgera Creek Estuary to Burleigh Headland and Ridge Park

If you RSVP YES and then for whatever reason change your mind (that’s okay) but please cancel and amend your RSVP to NO, at least 72 hrs prior to a walk. If you cancel the night/day before this is unacceptable to others possibly waiting. To do so once, at late notice, is forgivable, twice is unacceptable, to do so a third time, you will automatically be placed onto a wait-list for any walks you RSVP YES thus placing you at the bottom of the availability list.

We start at the end of Murlong Crescent, where you will find ample car parking spaces plus on-road parking.

We will then walk along the estuaries edge towards the highway and across the bridge, into Burleigh Heads NP.

On entering the park, we will take the upper route (a slight incline) to the viewing platform, where you maybe lucky enough to see a migrating whale, if not, on a clear day the high rises of Coolangatta and the coastline are clearly visible. The views are well worth the effort. We will then make our way downwards, after the slight incline, to the views on the other side of Burleigh Heads Hill, to see the skyscrapers of Surfers.

From here taking the lower path back towards the bridge will lead us to Koala Park where we will do a round trip which will include the area around Fleay's, Burleigh Ridge Park and the Tallebudgera Conservation Park, before returning to our vehicles.

Meet at 9.15 am at the far end from the sea of Murlong Crescent which is just off Tallebudgera Drive, either first right at the roundabout or next right a little further along the road.
