This is only 7-9 k’s with a spectacular waterfall.
Purling Brook Falls is one of Queensland's more spectacular waterfalls as it dives some 100m off an escarpment into the well-forested base. A 4km circuit track descends down to the bottom of the falls while providing views of another waterfall - Tanninaba Falls, which is unusual in that most of its flow hides behind cracks in the cliff as it falls down to its base. The circuit walk also affords top-down profile views of the main falls from both sides. The new bridge should give us some great views, a new refreshing experience.
Location: Known as the Settlement Camping ground 52 Carricks Road,Springbrook QLD 4213.
Please carry your lunch.
