Bouldering @ Urban Climb in Collingwood [Beginners Welcome] 🧗

Details

Matt is heading to Urban Climb in Collingwood (bouldering gym). Come join us! Newbies are welcome and there are climbs for any skill level here.

I'll be happy to show you how to climb if you want to come and don't know how. Climbing is great for fitness, confidence, meeting new friends and improving your flexibility.

You can climb (including shoe hire) for around $32, which you can pay on the night.

29min tram ride from the CBD, easy.

ABOUT THIS GROUP

Welcome to our group! We are a bunch of Melbourne friends who decided to open up our circle to some new awesome people. We have a broad range of interests and will post some of our events here so you can come and join us.

A little about each of us:

Matt Stuckings (Host) - Matt's photos don't often portray the magnitude of his personality (or his height!). He's a big fan of his wifey, Justine, but mountain bike riding comes in at a pretty close second. (He may or may not have recently bought a car specifically to transport his bike to and from bike trails.) Matt is an unashamed coffee snob, former photographer, tall guy, liker of good boutique breweries, and isn't as scary as he looks. If he isn't off reading a leadership book, he can probably be found bouldering or looking up weird restaurants to try out.

Go to our Group Page to learn more about our other hosts.

So there you go, that's a little about your hosts.

We have a few ground rules and guidelines for our group so please read through:
• Don't be afraid to come if there are only one or two people registered. Almost all of our events are suitable for small groups. Sometimes that's where the best conversations happen anyway.
• Let's keep it respectful. In our group, we have a range of nationalities and religions. We get along great! This is because we accept and respect one another. We also avoid insensitive comments, try to keep swearing to a minimum and steer clear of gossip and mindless venting.
• If you say you're going to come, then please actually come. If you change your mind, please update your RSVP. It preserves the sanity of our hosts who we value immensely.
• Be punctual. Our hosts will check the Meetup page and post their location upon arrival, but will then redirect their attention to the people present. If you are late (more than 5 minutes), you may not be able to get in touch with them as they won't be on their phone much. Please allow enough time for travel and parking.

Please DON'T come if:
• You are unwell. We want to keep our members nice and healthy so if there is a risk you are contagious, then please be mindful of the group.
• You like wallowing in life's problems. Life is tough sometimes, and it's totally okay to be honest about that. We are a really caring bunch but, be warned, you probably won't find much sympathy for a victim mindset in our group.
• You are just looking to hit people up for your own agenda. Our members are so much more than followers for your Instagram account, customers for your Herbalife business, or people for your Forex empire. In our community, we are about adding value to one another. If you are just coming with a self-serving agenda, then we aren't your crowd.
