Werribee Gorge Circuit Walk (8-10km)

The Werribee Gorge Circuit Walk provides excellent views along the gorge rim. There is an exciting 50 metre section of cable handrail to assist walkers on tricky high angle rock above the river upstream from Meikles Point Picnic Area. The circuit is about 8-10km and Grade 3, meaning a moderate level of fitness is required, walking on uneven ground with many steps, some rock hopping and steep hill sections involved.

Assuming the weather is look cooperative, we will be meeting the Quarry Picnic Area at 9:00am and departing at 9:10am. Please allow enough time for parking as the park can get quite busy.

Bring a drink bottle, a light lunch, and hand sanitiser as we will take a brief break mid-hike to eat a snack and enjoy the views.

Note: While this is a hosted event, all hikers are responsible for themselves and attend at their own risk. GEGP[M] takes no responsibility for any injuries sustained during the hike. Hikers are expected to wear appropriate shoes, sunscreen, and provide their own food and water.
