Hike 100 Challenge: High Banks Rollway to Harvey Bridge

Meet at Harvey Bridge at 10AM for a shuttle to High Banks Rollway, then we will hike 10 miles back to our cars at a 2 mph pace with a short lunch break along the Manistee River. This is a hilly & sandy hike, so be prepared with good hiking boots or trail runners, and poles. Bring water, snacks, rain gear, and clothes for the cool fall weather. We should be finished by 4PM. If the forecast is 40s rain, the hike will be cancelled by Friday evening. We will be hiking from MI-768 on map 122 to MI-778 on map 123. Afterwards, the shuttle drivers will need a ride back to High Banks Rollway.

Directions: From the traffic light in Buckley, go east to the T junction. Turn south (right) on No 17 Rd, which becomes gravel after crossing No 4 Rd. It’s 4.5 miles to Harvey Bridge. The NCT crosses the road just north of the bridge with limited parking, but there is additional parking & a pit toilet just south of the bridge. Do not park in the boat launch parking lot.
