Scenic Shenandoah Part 2 - Overall Run Falls loop hike

Details
Hello Friends!!!
Welcome to an alternative Saturday hike beginning at my residence (or other locations TBD) at 7:30 a.m. Carpooling is recommended due to the small parking area at the trailhead and depending on the number of participants. Suggested passenger contribution is $10 for gas for the approximate 150 mile round trip.
Now - the hike description: A loop hike of about 8 miles and 2000 feet of elevation on the western slope of SNP, beginning at Thompson Hollow. We will hike past the tallest waterfall in the Park and complete the loop down the Heiskell Hollow trail. Near the end of this loop is one of the best cooling-off pools in the park - adventurous hikers may wish to wear clothing that dries quickly (or swim suits). The good news: only the first half of the hike has serious (long) uphill sections and it's an easy hike back down to the cars at the BASE of the mountain. Note that there are 3 stream crossing that may be challenging if the water level is high. Also, I plan to take photos at most of the falls so this will NOT be a fast hike - just slow and reasonably steady. If there is enough interest, we can get an early dinner in Front Royal on the way home.
Yes, it makes for a full day, but most of you can sleep on the way home (as long as you are not a driver).
More details on additional meet-up locations (if necessary) when I get a head count. Text any questions to me at 703 401-5399. Hope to hear from at least 10 of you!!
Dick
