Cedar Hill State Park Car Camp and Picnic Oct. 3-5, 2025

Join Sierra Club members for an overnight car camping weekend Oct. 3-5 and/or a picnic on Sat. Oct. 4 at Cedar Hill State Park, Cedar Hill, TX. For camping sign-up, please contact the trip leader, Claudia Blalock, to register since space is limited (claudia.blalock@att.net). This park is 30 min. from Fort Worth south of 1-20 on Joe Pool Lake at 1570 West FM 1382 Cedar Hill, TX 75104. There are opportunities for hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, bird watching, and geo-caching in the park. The Saturday picnic will begin at 12:30 PM at Group Pavilion 2 and is a potluck meal. Please bring a dish to share and your own plate, cup and utensils. Sierra Club will furnish drinks and ice. Also, a 4-mile hike is planned for Sat. morning to begin at 8:45 AM at the Penn Farm Agricultural Center parking lot. Sign-up for the car camp on Meetup is not available; you must contact the trip leader by email to reserve your space prior to reserving a campsite.
