Cedar Hill State Park Picnic

This event will begin at 12:30 PM at Group Pavilion 2 and is a potluck meal. Please bring a dish to share and your own plate, cup and utensils. Sierra Club will furnish drinks and ice. There are opportunities for hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, bird watching, and geo-caching in the park. Also, a 4-mile hike is planned for Sat. morning to begin at 8:45 AM at the trailhead at Penn Farm Agricultural Center parking lot. The hike is on dirt and uneven terrain and we will hike at a rate of 2-3 mph. Please wear sturdy shoes and bring water and snacks for the trail. You will need to purchase a park day pass ($7 per person) online to visit the park for the picnic at https://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/reservations This park is 30 min. from Fort Worth south of 1-20 on Joe Pool Lake at 1570 West FM 1382 Cedar Hill, TX 75104.
