WEAct are running their regular monthly Repair Cafe, celebrating 2 years since we started. Free repairs from our skilled team of fixers. Donations welcome. Bring your broken household items: toys, small electricals, small furniture, ceramics, clothes, textiles, garden tools (no petrol-driven items). The Westway Centre, Caterham
The Caterham Repair Cafe has reopened, but with a change of location.
In January, February and March, (and then October, November and December), it will be held at The Westway Community Cafe and Wellness Centre, 25 Chaldon Road, Caterham CR5 5PG, to take advantage of a larger heated space.
From April to September the Cafe will be held at St Lawrence's Ancient Church, in Church Road, Caterham (opposite St. Mary's on the hill).
We are a group of enthusiastic volunteer repairers who meet once a month with a view to fix your broken 'stuff' so that you can carrry on using it and so that is doesn't go into landfill.
We meet at the venues mentioned above from 10:30 to 13:00 on the second Saturday of every month.
There is no charge for the repairs (unless we need to buy replacement parts) but we do ask for a donation - which goes towards the upkeep of the Church.
While you are waiting to be seen you can enjoy a hot or cold drink together with a piece of home-made cake - again, no charge but a donation please.
