Seminar: the pseudoinverse of a matrix

This seminar explores the pseudoinverse of a matrix, offering a high-level overview of its meaning and discussing its applications. We will approach the topic from the perspective of lexicographic optimization, which will help build intuition and define potential generalizations of the concept.

Format:
A 15-20 minute presentation (in English) followed by a discussion (English/French). Bring your computer if you want to test ideas afterwards.

Who should attend:
You will benefit most if you have prior exposure to basic concepts of optimization and linear algebra, but this is not a prerequisite. We will stay high-level so curiosity is all you need.
