The Griffons Den: Victoria's Table-Top Gaming Club

This new professionally run campaign will be following the PureRAWdnd Shared Campaign rules at the The Griffons Den.

This campaign is ideal for D&D beginners or 5e veterans alike and will start at level 1, working through the WATERDEEP: Dragon Heist hardcover (levels 1-5) then going straight into the WATERDEEP: Dungeon of the Mad Mage sequel that takes the party all the way to level 20!

Our campaigns are consistent, reliable and professionally run, overseen by a DM with 40 years experience. We hew closely to the 5e RAW (Rules As Written) and host a shared campaign where all participants in all our campaigns can trade and interact with each-other through bastions and other mechanisms. Players may choose to use 2014 or 2024 rules, and may rebuild their characters whenever they like so you never have to fret or agonize about build decisions, or get stuck playing a character you regret.

This will be hosted at the Griffons Den, our private D&D club house located at Hillside & Quadra area. Membership for the Griffons Den requires commitment to weekly sessions, with membership fees based on $25/sessions pre-paid monthly. The Den is a private space with a mini-fridge, microwave and kettle where members are welcome to bring outside food and drink, including alcohol if its an adult game.

BOARDGAME CLUB:
TEACH & PLAY @ THE GRIFFONS DEN
The Boardgame Club is a curated social gaming experience for people who want to:
- expand their gaming circle
- meet new gamers
- learn exciting new games

All Boardgame Club events are held at the Griffons Den, our private gaming clubhouse near Hillside & Quadra with free parking, wifi, mini-fridge, kettle and microwave.

Each Boardgame Club session is scheduled for 3+ hours and consists of a featured game curated by a “Host” who sets up and teaches the rules, similar to how boardgames are organized at conventions.

Attendees can join the featured game, break off to play a different game from our library, or bring their own game to play with other members. Regardless, all participants must book in advance.

Anyone can buy a single-session General Admission ticket for $20 and book online.

Membership grants several perks:
- volunteer as game Hosts,
- input into upcoming featured games,
- pay only $11/session with a recurring monthly fee of $55/month that includes five vouchers/month. Each voucher is fully transferable and can be used by the member or a guest to attend one session.

As a private venue that does not sell food or alcohol, our participants are welcome to bring their own outside food and drinks (including alcohol). Between the free parking and the lower cost of BYO refreshments, regular weekly members will find $11/session to be a very cost-effective alternative.

To start we will have one session per week. As more members join and more Game Hosts volunteer we will add more sessions, giving members more scheduling options and more game varieties.

Members are also invited to become game Hosts. Similar to a gaming convention, Hosts will have free admission to their session and be in charge of the administration of that particular session, including opening, closing and teaching how to play the featured game.

Membership vouchers are fully transferable and do not expire, so one person could attend weekly, or multiple friends and family could share the membership and attend together less frequently. If you miss a period of time, those extra vouchers will be banked and can be shared with friends or family.

If you run out of vouchers you will need to either pay the full General Admission price of $20/session, wait until your next monthly allotment of vouchers arrives, or buy additional Voucher packages.
