Moonlight Hike - Greenwood North (Free Hike)
Details
Note - Time change occurring on November 2. (Fall Back)
We will hike at a moderate pace for 5 - 6 km in 2 hrs or less. Please bring a headlamp or a flashlight. This Super Moon is called the Beaver Moon because it is the time of year when beavers are most active building their lodges and storing food for winter. It was also the season when hunters trapped beavers for their thick pelts to sell during the fur trade. Let's hope it will be a clear night so we can see the sun at night. The last time we did a Moonlight hike, we didn't need our headlamps in the open field because it was so bright. So, if you haven't experienced a night hike, come out and enjoy the adventure. Just don't be the last in line.😬
The trail weaves throughout the forest and along a creek. There will be twists and turns and ups and downs along the trail but nothig serious. This hike is about the energy of the moon.
- Hiking boots or shoes.
- Dress for the conditions.
- Free Parking
- No Dogs
- The hike will be canceled if the weather doesn't cooperate.
Hike leaves promptly at 7:07PM
Hope to see you there!
