Orchid Growing Tips and Tricks (Orchid Club meeting open to public)

Gulf Coast Orchid Alliance meets monthly and all meetings are open to the public.

Former GCOA President and experienced grower Jim Longwell will provide Tips and Tricks of Orchid Care during a humorous and insightful presentation.

Longwell has decades of experience growing and showing orchids, earning dozens of American Orchid Society awards for culture and bloom quality. He has curated a collection of extraordinary plants, including rare legacy plants and cutting-edge new hybrids. Longwell grows many unusual genera, but Vandas are his favorites.

The evening will include dozens of blooming orchids brought by club members for judging, which is a great way to see and learn about the wide variety of orchids that grow beautifully in Southwest Florida.

Admission is free, and light refreshments will be served.
