Welcome to the Grand Valley Trails Hiking Meetup group!
The Grand Valley Trails Association (GVTA) builds and maintains hiking trails in the Grand River valley. We promote year-round hiking, on the Grand Valley Trail and on other trails in the area. If you love exploring the outdoors through walking and hiking, then this is the group for you! We offer a variety of walks and hikes for outdoor enthusiasts of all experience levels. Guided hikes are organized several times a month and are posted on https://www.gvta.on.ca/HikesEvents.htm. The hikes are led by certified hike leaders with first aid training. Let’s lace up our boots, meet like-minded individuals, and hit the trails together!

We’ll walk along a section of the Nith River on one side and return using a path on the opposite side. Both are dirt trails with some roots and low hanging branches. Some road walking.
