Hacker Dojo's 3D Printing and Design Workshop!
This session will serve as a dedicated opportunity for newcomers and enthusiasts to lay the groundwork and establish expectations before delving into the world of 3D printing by understanding how the 3D printers at Hacker Dojo operate and how to design for optimal prints!
You will be able to walk out with your own printed thing! š
*******Things you will need!********
Laptop and Mouse!
A micro SD card is beneficial to save your files, but not required. We will have some SD cards on hand.
USB adapters are also helpful. We have mice, but they're USB-A. As are some of our other SD card adapters.
You will need access on your computer to download the slicer program!

We'll be guiding everyone through the basic programs needed to get started with modeling, slicing, and printing.
If you were here for any previous session, we will be available to support and reinforce what you learned and continue providing more depth.
**New projects have been added for repeat attendees.**
šØļø What to Expect Generally:
- Beginner-friendly introduction to 3D printing technology; No experience necessary!
*Hands-on tutorials covering basic 3D modeling and design concepts - Exploration of various 3D printers and materials
*Practical tips for optimizing print quality and efficiency - Building a solid foundation for your 3D printing journey
*Open discussion and Q&A session to address participants' questions and concerns - Members can get certified to use our 3D printers on their own!
This session is designed to create a supportive and inclusive environment where participants can connect and collaborate. This event is entirely volunteer-run, so weāre asking folks to donate $30 to help cover costs like: filament, new printers, parts for maintenance, micro SD cards. Your contribution allows us to prepare all the essentials to ensure a great experience for everyone.
Hacker Dojo members are always free. No one turned away for lack of funds.
