Made Studio, 3519 Broadway, Sacramento, CA 95817Girls Who Hack is hosting a girls only* cyber security day camp at Made Studio for ages 12-18. You'll learn relevant online safety, hands on soldering skills, about different careers in the field, have an intro to the computer terminal environment, and get to participate in a real capture the flag cyber challenge game!
Our classes are both for complete beginners and those who have some technical knowledge
Join us for this fun filled day, breakfast snack and lunch provided.

Learn how to safely use the Aeon laser cutter and prepare files in Lightburn. Great for beginners! Register by 9AM the day before or contact us for same-day availability.
Level: Beginner
Duration: 2 hours
Group Size: Up to 4 students
Certification: Grants access to the laser cutter with membership or maker day pass.
Learn how to safely and efficiently use the Aeon Laser Cutter in this beginner-friendly class. You’ll be introduced to laser cutting principles, material selection, design setup using Lightburn software, and troubleshooting tips to get your projects off the ground.
You’ll learn:- Basic principles of laser cutting
- How to select materials suitable for laser cutting
- How to prepare and format vector designs in Lightburn
- How to set up and operate the Aeon laser cutter safely
- Troubleshooting common laser cutter issues
All tools and materials are provided. Supplies are included in the class fee (includes a 12"x12" plywood sheet per participant).
Important Notes:- Class must be booked by 9:00 AM the day before. Contact us to inquire about same-day availability.
- Wear shop-appropriate clothing: long pants, closed-toe shoes, and hair tied back.
- Arrive 10–15 minutes early and sign our release of liability.
- Please reschedule if you’re feeling unwell.
