>the second stage of the Heidschnuckenweg, just one of Germany’s beautiful hiking trails!
As the days grow longer, we will extend southwards to walk the ever distant sections of this trail, from the gates of Hamburg all the way to Celle.
- The Route: Stage 2 (Nenndorf to Handeloh via. Buchholz i.d.N).
- Meeting Point: Hamburg Hbf, Platform 13D, RB41dir. Bremen hbf.
[Look for me with an orange hiking bag.] - Meeting Time: 9:00 AM.
- Transport: We take the RB41 to Klecken and bus 4210 to Nenndorf, arriving at 10:15 AM.
- Due to the cold weather breaks will be short.
Leaving Nenndorf, the trail enters some scenic forest before reaching the summit of the Brunsberg. We then descend into the Büsenbach Valley, following sandy paths and juniper groves all the way into Handeloh.
> Note: you are responsible for your own transport such as a valid HVV ticket (AB zone) or a Deutschlandticket.
>The temperature and distance make this a easy walk, on easy terrain, sand and gravel path, with a walking speed of around 4 km / h.
>Recommended: Sturdy walking shoes and something warm to drink!
Please bring clothing suitable to the conditions, your own snacks, water/ warm drink, and of course, some coins for the toilet! (if available).
We're looking forward to meeting you 😀
Please play nice and only sign up if your are 100% sure that you will join! Unreliable people (no show or late cancellation) may be excluded from future events with limited capacity. Repeat offenders will get banned from the group.
