Plainville Reservoir Southington/Plainville (EARLY) Day Hike

First Wednesday hike. In September, I'll move them to Tuesdays and keep them up through December.

EARLY. It's going to be nice on Wednesday but it's July so we're starting early at Crescent Lake. We'll hike south, pick up the Metacomet and back around the lake. There are great views in a couple of places.

Just about 6 miles and has some decent hills to climb here and there. Call it moderate. It will be rocky and muddy in places especially along the northern and western edge of the pond by the goat farm. Bring plenty of water and bug spray.

Please be in parking area by 8:15 and ready to hike by 8:30. Dogs have to be on a leash. I have a blue Kia Niro. Usually is a porta john in or near the parking area. There are Dunkins in New Britain and Plainville.
