Hike Bigelow Hollow State Park, Union CT

Hiking at Bigelow Hollow State Park in Union. The plan is a 7 mile loop that take us around the pond. We end up in and out of CT and MA at the northern edge. This is a moderate hike due to distance. There are ups and downs and a variety of terrain. We will be hiking on the Breakneck Loop.

Please have a backpack to carry layers of clothing, water, snacks. We will stop for snack breaks and to enjoy views. Fall weather may hold some variations. I have seen bald eagles every time I have hiked there.

Please, no sneakers or jeans. Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash and not allowed to run through the group. No kids.

Items you must consider for every event:

• If you have an event after a hike, please do not sign up for the hike.
• End times are only an estimate.
• The group will not adjust speed or trail route to accommodate your schedule.
• If you cannot attend an event, please cancel 48 hours before. Late cancellations are rude and take away the option for others to join the event.
• Be a good hiking human

Everyone is placed on a waitlist and will be manually moved over.
