Having Fun with Girlfriends in El Dorado County

Lunch out for our group this month. The Crepe Town European Cafe has great food and a room for a large table. Let’s get together, have a good meal and visit. New members, and trial members, will find this is a great way to meet new friends

There are soups, salads, crepes, omelets and scrambles, benedicts, burgers, paninis, etc.

I’d like to make a reservation so I’ll cut off sign ups on Tuesday morning, the 17th.

This is more of an announcement as there are two Master Gardening demonstrations in our county this month. You can check them out if interested. Some members mentioned this to me so I’m announcing them. On Sat. 2/21, there is a Spring and Summer Vegetable presentation at the Placerville Library from 10:30-1:30. I’ve never gone to that long a presentation, so I’m guessing that one stays as long as she wants. The second presentation is Wednesday, 2/25 from 9 am to noon at the Cameron Park Community Center and that one is for Growing Plants from Seeds. You can check these out at this link:

If you want to see if other members would be attending, you can leave a message here and then you can meet each other at the venue. I would probably like to hear the one on seeds since I don’t know how to save seeds from one year to the next. k

This is an easy project for us to do as a group. It involves using glue, mod podge, and putting strips of pictures from magazines over the egg. Joni has magazines and I have animal ones. These would be great to put into a basket for Easter decorations. Or you can add a string and hang them. Enjoy friendship and a fun activity at my house. Joni has some supplies and the rest would cost each person up to $5.00. Inexpensive and fun. This will be at my house and, if you need directions, let me know.

Let’s celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a dinner at my house. It will be dinner rather than lunch as my recipe for the traditional meal of corned beef, cabbage, potatoes and carrots….with Irish soda bread….is a slow cooker recipe. If you have Irish ancestors, be sure to wear green. Maybe I’ll even have traditional Irish music playing! There will also be something green for dessert. Come and have fun and celebrate the special Irish feast. If you need my address I’ll give it to you since I don’t post personal home addresses on the public listing.
