Springbrook - Waterfalls, lookouts, caves & more π§ π π²

Details
Hey everybody,
This Sunday come along and explore Springbrook National Park.
After meeting up, we will take the hour long drive together to the first trail. From here, we will be doing three seperate trails, taking in many waterfalls, lookouts, cave systems and waterways as we venture through the park for the day.
- Firstly we will visit Purling Brook Falls, which is the biggest waterfall in the park, standing at over 100 meters. We will hike down to the base of the falls, taking in the impressive waterfall and surrounding cliff face, before looping back up to the top with a lookout over the waterfall and into the valley below.
- We will then carry on to the "Best of all lookouts", a spectacular lookout which on a clear day you can see all the way from the Gold Coast to Byron Bay.
- We will then head to a picnic area and have lunch before venturing on to the Twin Falls circuit. This loop includes several waterfalls, an interesting cave system and an an impressive lookout point, with long views back towards the Gold Coast.
We will then finish up and aim to be back at the MeetUp point by 5pm.
Total walking distance is approximately 10km.
IMPORTANT INFO
- Event restricted to 15 people.
- One plus 1 per person welcome, please indicate on your RSVP.
- If you RSVP then can't attend, please be sure to privately message the event organiser with a reason: Please read our full RSVP and cancellation policy below for full details.
- Please bring lunch, snacks and enough water as there will not be any chance to buy any once we leave.
- This is classified as a Grade 3-4 walk (out of 5): There are some relatively steep stairs and paths along the way, so please make sure your fitness levels are suitable for this hike.
- Please be sure to wear solid boots - at this time of year with all the rain, Springbrook can get very muddy.
- Donations are appreciated to help cover the cost of Meetup fees.
Hope to hang out with you then :)

RSVP and cancellation policy
As our MeetUps are published on the Thursday evening before the Sunday's event, there are less than 3 days between publication and the event. Therefore, by RSVPing it is expected that you are certain you can attend and do not cancel your place. If you have any doubt about attending the event, please leave the space for others who are sure they can come.
If you need to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, please send a private message with a legitimate reason as to why you can't make it to the event organiser (please note that the weather will not be accepted as a legitimate excuse, as the forecast 3 days prior to the event is close enough to get a good idea of what to expect).
Failure to send said private message will result in a first warning and then if it happens a second time, it will result in your removal from the group.
The reasoning for this is that our MeetUp group has over 1000 members and with hikes only taking 15-20 people, places are at a premium. Therefore, when there are late withdrawals, members on the waitlist miss out on attending at the expense of others, so a private message is to make attendees accountable for their RSVPs and therefore being considerate of others wishing to join.
Thank you for your understanding.
Weather
At the time of event publication, Springbrook's Sunday forecast is an 80% chance of 0-7ml rain and 23 degrees.
