Brunswick Head Kayaking & Picnic
Details
Hey everybody,
It's time for some local fun down at the Bruns River.
We are meeting at the Ferry Reserve Caravan Boat Ramp, which is within the Reflections Holidays Park in Brunswick Heads. Please refer specific instructions via Location below.
We plan to have a leisurely morning, with water games and kayaking out to the little island off the reserve and under the bridge. Please bring any other games of choice such as frisbies, cricket etc. or water games / tubes etc.
Gavin will do his best to bring some kayaks for us all to share but feel free to bring you own if you have one and/or roof racks on your car etc.
After some water sports, swimming and games we will enjoy a picnic together on the grass, so please bring a picnic rug and your own lunch + water (this is not Pot Luck so just cater for yourself).
Feel welcome to bring a friend.

RSVP and cancellation policy
As our MeetUps are generally published on the Thursday evening before the Sunday's event, there are less than 3 days between publication and the event. Therefore, by RSVPing it is expected that you are certain you can attend and do not cancel your place. If you have any doubt about attending the event, please leave the space for others who are sure they can come.
If you need to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, please send a private message with a legitimate reason as to why you can't make it to the event organiser (please note that the weather will not be accepted as a legitimate excuse, as the forecast 3 days prior to the event is close enough to get a good idea of what to expect).
Failure to send said private message will result in a first warning and then if it happens a second time, it will result in your removal from the group.
The reasoning for this is that our MeetUp group has over 1000 members and with hikes only taking 15-20 people, places are at a premium. Therefore, when there are late withdrawals, members on the waitlist miss out on attending at the expense of others, so a private message is to make attendees accountable for their RSVPs and therefore being considerate of others wishing to join.
Thank you for your understanding.
