Wildlife Photography: From Alaska to Patagonia to Africa and Back

Welcome to the Heard Nature Photography Club monthly meeting! We meet at 10:00 AM on the second Saturday of each month at the Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary in McKinney. Our September 2025 speaker will be Larry Petterborg presenting "Wildlife Photography: From Alaska to Patagonia to Africa and Back".

Larry Petterborg grew up in Utah, has degrees in biology and biomedical sciences and has enjoyed a lifelong interest in being outdoors and photographing nature. Since retiring from an academic career, he has been spending more and more time pursuing wildlife with his camera. In this presentation he will be showing examples of his wildlife images and discussing the equipment and techniques he uses to photograph in locations from Alaska to Patagonia to Africa and back.
