THE “LET THEM” THEORY — When We Stop Chasing and Start Choosing Peace

A Heart & Mind Women Conversation

There comes a point in life when we realise:
we cannot control other people’s choices,
their effort,
their opinions,
their reactions,
or their growth.
We can love people, hope for them, cheer for them —
but we cannot make them behave a certain way.
Mel Robbins calls this The “Let Them” Theory:
If someone doesn’t make the effort…
let them.
If someone speaks poorly of you…
let them.
If someone doesn’t choose you…
let them.
If someone takes you for granted…
let them.
If someone pulls away…
let them.
Not because you don’t care.
Not because you’re passive.
Not because you’re weak.
But because your peace matters more than your pursuit of approval.
In this conversation, we’ll explore:
💗 What happens inside us when we stop trying to control the uncontrollable
💗 The difference between boundaries and walls
💗 How to let people be who they are — without losing ourselves
💗 How to reclaim energy and self-respect without coldness or revenge
💗 What “Let Them” looks like in real, imperfect human life
This is not a workshop about “not caring.”
This is a gathering about caring without abandoning yourself.
Come whether you’re currently holding on too tight…
or learning to soften your grip…
or somewhere in between.
You don’t have to be ready.
You don’t have to be healed.
You don’t have to have it all figured out.
You just have to be human to belong here.i

I’m so excited to connect with you all over books and beautiful conversation.
Just a quick heads-up for future events —

To make sure everyone’s time and energy are honoured, events will go ahead when there are RSVP’s by the night before. This helps create an atmosphere where we all know we’ll have company, connection, and conversation.

If you’re ever unsure or running late, just message — I always want to make sure no one misses out.

Can’t wait to share our discussion soon — I’m looking forward to creating a warm and welcoming space for us all.
