THIS IS A DOG-PARTICIPANT HIKE. This event is NOT for those who are uncomfortable with the antics of fun-loving dogs. Dogs (and Masters) required to be ‘on-leash' in DuPont. DOGS MUST BE CAPABLE OF SWIMMING A DEEP, FAST-MOVING RIVER CURRENT. (you will NOT be able to carry them). Small (lap)dogs may carpool. Large dogs will drive themselves.
DESCRIPTION;
Remember - hikes led by ‘the Curmudgeon’ tend to have challenging surprises.
The other group will wait for you at the River Xing to video your ‘skills’
PRECAUTIONARY NOTE; You MUST be CAPABLE OF CROSSING A DEEP, FAST-MOVING RIVER CURRENT. Phones & keys Must be in waterproof bags. Pack towels AND (I insist) VERY LARGE WOOL SOCKS TO PLACE OVER YOUR WATER SHOES FOR TRACTION. (if you don’t understand that last sentence – take it on faith.) The wet Xing will be at the last mile before the end of the hike.
All hikes are at your own risk. You are responsible for your OWN safety and adequate equipment.
