DuPont: Wintergreen Falls; a Saunter

I am going to Wintergreen falls in DuPont St Forest; Up to 12 ppl are welcome to join me.
Hike Distance: 3.5mi RT (in&out); Accum Descent: 400 ft; Return ascent: 400 ft
Pace: 1.5mph – because I’m an ol’ Codger.
Difficulty: ‘natural’ forest road. Some boulder climbing at the falls. Storm damage near the falls will be ‘interesting’ & challenging.
Masticating will be ‘in motion’.
Drive time: 16mi; 0.5hr 1-way
Trlhd: “Guion Farm Parking Area”
Apprx return time: 2:00 pm (=4.0 hrs)
Carpool contributions appreciated. $1.00 suggested

We suggest open windows while carpooling. Only you know your own health status so judge accordingly if an event may endanger your health or the health of others.
Please bring an extra pair of shoes to avoid bringing your muddy shoes into the driver's car at the end of the hike.
Incessant prattlers will be assumed to be having an affair. My attempts to quiet the prattlers has failed. This has become a ‘social networking’ event.
THIS IS A DOG-PARTICIPANT HIKE. This event is NOT for those who are uncomfortable with the antics of fun-loving dogs. Dogs (and Masters) required to be ‘on-leash' in DuPont. Small (lap)dogs may carpool. Large dogs will drive themselves.

I will be carrying the ‘Ent-Ward’ that gives us permission to pass thru the forest.
IF YOU HAVE AN ORANGE VEST; WEAR IT. HUNTING SEASON HAS STARTED. ;-) THEY ARE INEXPENSIVE AT WALMART....
This is one of the ‘icons’ of DuPont. Well established trail with some rocky sections. Close to the falls, we will access the falls over a boulder.
